I've noticed more people involved in stories are jumping into the comments sections where they've been quoted or negatively reviewed. Recently Mark Cuban responded to a Lost Remote posting where his comments on YouTube had been posted. Today, I came across David Cross responding to a negative review of one of his events in San Francisco. And finally, Ken Jennings shows up in a TVSquad comment section where a couple of folks had said his opinion didn't matter. And then, he shows up. Is this cool, or creepy?
I'd have to say kind of cool. In all three cases, the "celebrities" enter into the fray to defend themselves. In David Cross's case, he begins into the debate of whether or not his jokes about Mormons made him a bigot. It's interesting, and very much distracting me from work.
Striking down the mundane and dastardly while retaining a certain obscure turn of phrase, denoting something elusive yet concrete.
